Overview

The Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) invites applications for the Food Safety Officer Exam 2025 under the Public Health and Medical Education Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh. Eligibility Criteria

General Eligibility

  • Nationality: Citizen of India
  • Educational Qualification: Degree in Food Technology, Dairy Technology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Agriculture, Veterinary Science, or equivalent from a recognized university
  • Age Limit: 21-40 years as on 01 January 2025
  • Age Relaxation:
    • SC/ST/OBC (MP Domicile): 5 years
    • PwD: As per MP Govt. rules
    • Women (MP Domicile): 5 years
    • Employees of MP Govt./Autonomous Bodies: As per rules

Reservation Notes

  • SC/ST/OBC/EWS reservations applicable only for MP domiciles
  • Non-MP domicile SC/ST/OBC/EWS candidates treated as unreserved
  • Women candidates (MP domicile) eligible for 33% reservation

Notes

  • Qualifications must be completed by 10 August 2025
  • Certificates for reserved categories must be issued before or on 10 August 2025
  • False information leads to disqualification

Selection Procedure

Written Examination

  • Objective-type OMR-based test
  • Conducted in Indore, Bhopal, Jabalpur, and Gwalior
  • 87% weightage for written exam
  • Shortlisting: Top candidates (3 times the number of vacancies) and those with equal marks

Interview

  • 13% weightage for interview
  • Candidates must submit required documents on interview day
  • Travel expense reimbursement for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per rules

Important Notes

  • Admit card mandatory for exam
  • Exam center change requests not entertained post-allotment
  • Exam syllabus and details to be released on MPPSC website

  1. Visit mppsc.mp.gov.in
  2. Register with valid email ID and mobile number
  3. Upload scanned passport-size photo (clear, no glasses/reflections, light background) and signature
  4. Pay application fee online
  5. Submit application by 10 August 2025 (12:00 PM)
  6. Correction window: 16 July 2025 to 12 August 2025 (Rs. 50 per correction)

  • Permanent caste certificate (SC/ST/OBC, issued by competent authority)
  • Travel tickets for reimbursement (SC/ST/OBC)
  • Declaration form for scribe (PwD candidates)
